An iOS store app needs an Apple developer account (₹10,000 a year, paid at cost). Store apps are published from GroverHQ's developer accounts.

Ownership & renewal

  • The monthly fee covers hosting, database, storage and bandwidth within your plan, security updates and support.
  • If the monthly fee stops, hosting stops and the system goes offline.

How much does a coaching institute app cost?

Plans are priced by capacity: Starter Lite for up to 1,000 students at ₹1,00,000 one-time plus ₹7,500 per month; Tier 1: Starter for up to 3,000 students at ₹1,50,000 one-time plus ₹10,000 per month; Tier 2: Growth for up to 10,000 students at ₹2,50,000 one-time plus ₹20,000 per month; Tier 3: Scale for up to 50,000 students at ₹3,50,000 one-time plus ₹35,000 per month. The app is the same in every plan; only capacity (students, daily users, video storage and bandwidth) changes. Usage above a plan is billed at actuals.

Can we try it before we decide?

Yes. A live demo institute is open at coaching.groverhq.com: pick a demo, then sign in as admin, faculty, student or parent with one tap. It runs in your browser with sample data, so you can join a live class, watch a recording, take a test and book a demo class without sharing any institute information.

Do students need to install an app?

No. The portal works in the browser and can be added to the phone's home screen, which is also how iPhone users use it. An Android app is built and a Google Play listing is coming soon; until then we can send you a test version. A store iOS app is an optional add-on.

How is attendance taken?

Automatically. A student who joins a live class is marked present, or late if they join after the first ten minutes. A student who misses it is counted present for that class after watching at least 70% of its recording. Faculty can correct any record, and the parents of students who missed a class are notified. In a live setup the record is kept on the server, so students cannot change it.

How are recorded classes protected?

Recordings open through a private link that expires and renews while the student watches, there is no download button, and the viewer's name moves across the video so a shared screen recording can be traced. No system can fully stop someone filming their own screen. Dedicated private video hosting is connected when your institute is set up; the demo plays a short sample lesson.

Do live classes run inside the app?

The class room, schedule, attendance, chat and class controls work in the demo today. The Zoom video is shown in a preview area and is connected once your Zoom credentials are added. One Zoom host licence, meaning one live class at a time, is part of the plan; extra hosts are an add-on.

Can we start small and upgrade later?

Yes. Moving to a bigger plan means paying only the difference in the one-time fee, and the monthly fee changes from the next billing cycle. Your data and users stay where they are; there is no migration and no rebuild.

Which features are not available yet?

Marked as coming soon: the Zoom video inside the room, dedicated private video hosting, the AI Counsellor on a language model, WhatsApp alerts through the official API, auto-upload of Zoom recordings, RFID and biometric attendance, extra Zoom hosts, marketing tools and the iOS store app. Everything else on this page works in the live demo.

How long does it take to launch?

About 3 to 4 weeks from when you choose a plan and share your logo, favicon and colours. We then set up the app and portal, enter your batches and confirm scope and payment terms in a short agreement.
